Summer signings

The summer break was a busy one for the Marksmen front office with over 10 players coming into the squad. Per club policy, all players who join the Marksmen without EPSL experience or previous experience with the club will be assigned to the club affiliate Woonsocket FC for developmental purposes.

Leading the way with the summer signings is former Marksmen striker & leading goal scorer in 2019 Yaw Addow. Yaw will be looking to rejoin the Marksmen and get back to his scoring ways during the 2022/23 EPSL season.

Also coming into the Marksmen squad will be former EPSL Santa Cruz FC members Sebastian Sosa & Daniel Vargas. Sosa, a standout keeper and Vargas a winger/wingback will be bringing their EPSL experience to the Marksmen this season.

Further adding to the Marksmen additions is Jubril Agbaje, a center back who’s developed within the Boston Bolts youth system and will be looking to further his development with the Marksmen. The defense gets another injection of new energy and talent with the acquisition of Brian Viera, a standout at the high school level and will be looking to make a name for himself with the FRMFC.

The center midfield is also getting a boost thanks to the pickup of Roberto “Carlos” Meija. Carlos joins the Marksmen after putting in successful season with Sporting Malden in the CASA league. Meija is expected to push the 1st team midfielders of the Marksmen and crack the starting lineup in the near future. Continuing the boost to the midfield is the return of former Marksmen Amilton Goncalves. Amilton rejoins the Marksmen after a successful spell with Lincoln FC in UPSL which saw Goncalves earn himself a UPSL player of the week award.

The wings of the Marksmen have also strengthened thanks to the arrival of Elmer Barrientos. Elmer joins the Marksmen from St. Michaels FC of New Bedford. Barrientos is locally known for his time with not only St. Michaels but also for his standout seasons with Bristol Community College and will be looking to add his success by cracking the Marksmen 1st team lineup.

Rounding out the Marksmen acquisitions from the summer is Christopher Jerez. Hailing from Fall River and playing numerous seasons of youth soccer within our beloved city, Jerez will be looking to develop into a 1st Marksmen player and furthering his Fall River soccer career. Erik & John Pittamiglio round the Marksmen pick up’s, both brothers of Marksmen player Ivan Pittamiglio, the trio of Uruguayans will be looking to cement their names into the 1st team and make an instant impact.
